iPhone 15 Pro Max day one unboxing in First Impressions so $199 for this phone right here you can see I did go with the natural titanium color and the boxing experience already basically the same as last year however take a look you can see we do have thinner bezels and there's something cool about apple boxes when you actually feel on the front you can actually feel like a little cut out of the phone it's kind of like they're letting you feel the phone phone before you actually touch the actual phone just a little thing I noticed Apple logo right there bringing it around another Apple logo left iPhone right iPhone very clean minimalistic and simple on the back you will see just iPhone 15 Pro Max 15 Pro Max and USBC charging cable available with headphones sold separately now it does say we do have up to 1 terabyte available but this is an eim only in the US um you'll be only be able to get you eim now to unbox this thing all you got to do is pull the tab right there and then at the bottom we're going to have ourselves another tab so I'll go ahead and pull that okay so pulling that we're going to go ahead and pull that one back and then it's very simple you're going to be in this phone pretty quickly here and there we go here is the natural titanium and I got to tell you right out of the gate this is a beautiful color while it does look a little bit lame on the pictures in person this looks very premium now let me go ahead and show show you the sides here we're going to see that natural titanium and man this is stunning I'm already loving this cuz I really cannot stand the fingerprint um shiny sides of some of the older iPhones so definitely loving this right here I think this is going to be a hit this is going to be one of the reasons people want to get this is just because those edges I'm serious over there on the left you're going to see that action button with the power button or the volume rockers right there let's take a look at that USBC hello welcome to Android land with USBC now iPhone finally has the USBC so taking a look at the cameras up here let's see how they look next to the iPhone 14 pro Max do they get any bigger and the answer is not really I I don't see a massive change maybe slightly but it's very little it's not a very big change on the camera housing up there but you are going to have that five times optical zoom reserved only for the max device so you better get the max if you want the max Zoom okay so what else comes in the Box as rumored we do get oursel the USBC to USBC cable although you're going to have to buy your own charger if you don't have a USBC based Apple charger so just keep that in mind now it says you no longer need a physical Sim they're basically in a nice way saying you don't get to use SIM card here Apple stickers right there so this box is basically nothing in it it's very very simple and honestly I think in the future the boxes are going to have even less stuff okay now in terms of that lightness it's unbelievably light compared to the iPhone 14 pro Max this thing feels like a brick compared to this 15 Pro Max although a otter box or a heavy case would definitely weigh this back down so in order to retain that lightness you're going to need a thin case or a case that doesn't really weigh too much let's go Ahad and peel this off I'll shut up for a second so we can hear this hold on let me bring the mic down give me one sec all right here we go here we go three two it was all right wasn't overly exciting let's go ahead and boot this thing up in three two go and I got to tell you basically I always love flat displays so I'm already loving this right here but what I really really like is just the weight the weight in the titanium edges this is the main thing the color you know that's cool but like I probably would have lik to seen a product red color but it's just the weight and the titanium edges that's what I'm loving so far already this feels as light as it kind of feels as light as an iPhone 14 plus honestly even though it's not quite as light I'm going to boot into this and then we'll we'll bypass this process because how many times have you seen this I'm not going to waste your time with okay so I ski past most the setup but I got to show you this one cuz this is new the all new acent button well aot you to press and hold to turn the silent mode on and off or you're going to have the option to go ahead and customize this so you're going to be able to take this thing into different modes whether it be the flashlight the voice memo shortcuts or camera so there's going to be a lot of different new things you can do with this action button right here so that's pretty neat if you ask me also there is one more new thing with this phone you now can contact roadside assistance via the emergency SOS stuff so that's a new thing as well now I'm also noticing the bezels are they're definitely noticeably thinner this is the best and closest to all screen iPhone I've ever seen so that's pretty amazing right there if you really like you know getting close to an all screen although the dynamic Island remains on all iPhones so that's still going to be something that you might find a little bit annoying if you don't like cutouts on your screen okay so out of the box this is going to want you to do an update to I yeah it wants you to do an update right out of the box so Apple already pushed out an update before right when you got your iPhone so keep that in mind but looking through this right here if we scroll down you'll see in settings here on iPhone 15 model Pro Models and pro Max models you're going to see the action button which we showed earlier but that's how you're going to be able to access it once you get past the main screen you'll be able to use shortcuts and accessibility options as well however I'm probably going to leave this in silent mode for a while cuz I'm just kind of used to that until I want to mess around with something else but it's there if you want to do it it also I always got to take a look at the wallpapers for you with a new iPhone like how could we not let's go over here to customize and they're putting the iOS 17 one out of the box but I don't want that business I want the new wallpaper that's on the box so you'll see that we do have similar featured wallpapers as found in every other iPhone weather and astronomy stays the same as well as collidoscope but when you scroll down here to collections you'll find yourself that Easter egg was not Easter egg but you'll find self the wallpapers now you can also download these on the internet and put them on any iPhone so it's not like they're hard to find but they have the white the black the blue and of course we're going to put the natural titanium one as shown on the box I wish they would just put this on the phone right out of the box but that's that now running through you're going to find iOS 17 which is not very different from basically you know any other iPhone and it feels buttery smooth as you would expect with the 120 HZ promotions so that's not going to be any different whatsoever okay guys now I want to take a look at the storage for you so you can see what iOS takes up out of the box cuz I actually didn't put any of my stuff on here yet I just bypassed that so you can see that iOS 17 is taking up 17.8 gigs so you actually in effect have around 238 to 239 gigs even though this is listed at a 256 gigs so if you're really pinch for storage consider going up a size maybe into the you know 512 gig now let me tell you the next thing that I wanted to say about my first impressions here and that is that you know if this phone already feels this light in the hand I can only imagine the iPhone 14 pro which I also have on Deck so stay tuned for the unboxing of the iPhone 14 pro and you got a sneak peek at the color I got as well all right so I have my trusty scale here iPhone 14 pro Max 254 G let's take a look how much they went down iPhone 15 Pro Max 222 so Apple's rating it at 221 so we're right there pretty much in line with what they said now if we subtract that how much was it 254 minus 222 so we're down 32 G 32 G lighter that is pretty big and very noticeable plus the lighter metal of titanium makes us actually feel um like the perception you get of it is even lighter than what the numbers would predict okay so I got the action button set for the cameras here let's go ahead and click the action button hold to open here we are now let's take a look at what's new here you'll see we do have a 5x mode right here which allows us to go optically five times now that is incredibly far for an iPhone as they typically only would go around three times and you have to get the max to get this so keep that in mind also if you go down here you're going to see on the one time zoom hit one times you can use a 22 28 at 35 and then you go back to a 24 standard Mill mm lens right there also you have the ultra wide camera of course which is cool and let's see how far you can zoom up to 25 times so still less than even a base model galaxy s23 but I think the main cameras at least up to the 5x opticore are going to be some of the best you've ever seen on a phone I'll be doing some comparisons and we'll be checking out the samples so stay tuned be subscribed cuz this iPhone season you know I'm going to be coming with all the comparisons so let's go over here to 4K you can see 4K 60 on both phones pretty cool or on the camera lens right here and then cinematic video which came in a couple iterations ago I think it was the 13 Pro Max and then we have a front-facing camera here of course portrait mode should be improved the video and cinematic so far looking basically the same I again I'm going to have to really test this out to see if it improved at all but the overall setup not very different whatsoever okay so in the battery sections this is a a little bit disappointing that Apple decided to keep around the same battery capacity and they're rating it about the same as the 14 pro Max but we'll see if that actually is true because with the a17 pro chip in here we might actually get longer battery life um but stay tuned I plan to do some battery stuff with this maybe even a real world usage case video to see how it goes and you have low power mode there which does turn off the 120 Herz and let's turn on the battery percentage to make sure we can see where it's going all right I'm pretty much done with my first impression I just want to showcase to you a few more closeups so you can get an idea of the phone there you go this is the natural titanium color it's pretty light actually now you could see right there of course you could go to the Apple Stores but if you don't got time today you just want to watch a quick vid here you go again going to resist those fingerprints a lot better power button in the same location 5G antenna you'll see right there let's get a little bit closer in on that titanium to see how brushed how it looks brushed and you'll see right there Precision holes right here just like we're used to with apple no major difference but look at the brush I mean it's premium this is nice see the action button right there very small this is going to be very easy to adapt to even though you you've had a silent switch before I think it's pretty easy and just the Apple logo so that's a very big closeup of the phone we're going to go ahead now and compare to other competing smartphones or similar smartphones to show you what it's going to look like in comparison okay guys so let's take a look at the iPhone 12 Pro Max 12 Pro Max feels heavier a little bit heavier and it feels a little bit wider than the iPhone 15 Pro Max so the 15 Pro Max an ergonomic upgrade for sure see on the bottom pretty similar overall camera bumps are definitely bigger here on the iPhone 15 Pro Max over the 12 Pro Max but the 12 Pro Max holding its own in design it's still a really nice looking phone and it's not crazy different um it's definitely just really refined and Polished version of the 12 okay so for the 2-year upgrade an iPhone 13 Pro Max iPhone 13 Pro Max far heavier camera bumps pretty similar again just kind of like the 12 Pro Max but camera bumps are closer uh the camera sizes are bigger on the iPhone 15 Pro Max but pretty close overall and looks again just the shiny edges the USBC this is almost the same thing just a much lighter phone and I I think that's a big change because if you're using a big phone you want it to be light and manageable this is what makes this really nice is that big phones are uncomfortable and they're finally making these phones not uncomfortable to hold that's a huge change for me overall in terms of the actual usability standpoint but if you like that heft the iPhone 13 Pro Max definitely provides that for you still a great phone forgot to show the 11 Pro Max now this is lighter than some of the other newer iPhones and this was the last time I felt like an iPhone felt super comfortable to hold so I do think that this is like a nice upgrade if you like the comfort factor of the iPhone 11 Pro Max and you didn't like all these newer iPhones that came out and you're ready to upgrade this is going to be amazing upgrade for you because you don't got to go to the super heavy other iPhone Maxes and you you get to you kind of get to retain this nice feel like the 11 Pro Max used to have so this is a really big um change here in terms of the overall looks and premium design but definitely I think a nice one you can see the cameras much much bigger on the iPhone 15 Pro and of course USBC and lightning so that's the difference we already kind of looked at the iPhone 14 pro Max so we don't got to do much here it's basically a similar phone uh just changes the edges still has Dynamic Island so this one's not too much different let's take a look at only one Android competitor probably the top Android competitor to this phone the Galaxy s23 Ultra now the s23 ultra also is not a heavy heavy phone for its size so this is probably the best competition and it's a much bigger phone so if you don't like bulky big phones you're going to prefer the 15 Pro Max over the s23 ultra but if you prefer a phone that does everything in the kitchen sink you're still going to want the s23 ultra over this phone it still has more zoom and it still has more features than the 15 Pro Max that's it my first unboxing First Impressions review you know we didn't talk the specs we didn't talk how this has 8 gigs of RAM A7 Pro 442 we'll get we'll get to all that stuff coming soon these are just my first impressions you got to see the phone how it looks and how it looks compared to other phones now I just want to ask you guys one thing are you ordering one and what do you guys want to see going for what are the videos that you're looking forward to I already have a lot planned but let me know which one if I see one that's just kind of like standing out gets a lot of likes it's like the main one most people want to see I'll cover that one first so we can get that one out of the way but stay tuned we got speed test camera battery you know the drill it's going to be a fun season here heading into the holidays thumbs up if you enjoyed it subscribe if you haven't already love you Nick here be sure to be well and peace
